THE EIVISSA JAZZ 2021, WHICH WILL BE HELD FROM SEPTEMBER 1 TO 4, WILL OFFER EIGHT CONCERTS IN ITS 33rd EDITION
Eivissa Jazz, the long-awaited event with the best national and international jazz, will once again mark the late summer cultural calendar in the city of Eivissa. The Eivissa Jazz will be held this year between September 1 and 4 and will do so with some significant changes. On the one hand, a day is recovered compared to the previous edition, and this year there will be eight concerts, compared to five in the 2020 edition, which was very marked by the health situation.
Another change is that the first day of the festival that used to be held in recent editions in the Plaza de Sotavila, this year is moved to the Reina Sofía Park and is still free. In this way, the safety distance is guaranteed and the capacity to be increased to avoid crowds in an opening concert that always arouses a lot of interest. The invitations for this first day can be booked through the website www.eivissa.es. The rest of the days, as is traditional, will be held in the bastion of Santa Llúcia, in Dalt Vila.
The Eivissa Jazz will also have another novelty, the incorporation of the Italian Institute of Culture as a collaborator of the festival. It is a non-profit public entity that aims to promote Italian culture and language in the world, which joins the collaboration of the Society of Artists, Interpreters, or Performers of Spain (AIE).
This edition of Eivissa Jazz once again has the support of Radio 3 and the Public Radio and Television Company of the Balearic Islands, IB3. Likewise, the resumption of the Getxo Festival this year will also make it possible for the winners of the 2021 edition of this veteran contest to be counted on the Ibizan stage.
The current situation of the pandemic still requires caution, hence the City Council of Eivissa will guarantee all security measures so that all people who are fond of this genre can safely enjoy this year’s festival in a World Heritage environment.
