‘UNITED WOMAN’, A REGULAR THERAPY GROUP FOR WOMEN TO IMPROVE AND MANAGE EMOTIONAL HEALTH
The Sant Josep de sa Talaia City Council starts this Thursday, October 1, a therapeutic group for women, ‘United Woman’, aimed at improving and managing their emotional health after the suffering of confinement and the situation that has caused the COVID-pandemic. “This pandemic has left a very serious economic and health crisis, but there are also more psychological problems that are silent but no less important, that is why we have launched this initiative,” said the Councilor for Equality, Guadalupe Nauda.
This therapy is focused exclusively on women since they have continued to suffer “the great workload they already have in the family environment, greatly aggravated during confinement, where women have had to solve the situation derived from the closure of schools or take care of people dependent on their environment. To this must be added a work situation that has been worse for women than for men, because they suffer more precariousness, among other situations. They have suffered more all the complications derived from the pandemic, ”said Nauda.
The working group will meet once a week with a maximum of 15 women and will last for 3 hours per session. The therapy is given by Julieta Messina, Gestalt therapist specialized in sexuality and communication. The group will hold its meetings online, following the health recommendations, to work on group dynamics and creativity, all of this focused on learning to improve and the emotional health of the participants.
This therapeutic group begins its meetings for the remainder of the year. It is free and the only requirement is to be registered in the municipality. Registrations can be made by writing an email to email@example.com.
