The festivities will start on November 9 from 4 pm with one of the most anticipated acts and with more tradition of the festivities, the Festa de s’Oli in Can Pep de sa Plana, which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition and that it will count with the participation of sa Colla de Buscastell and sa Colla de Sant Rafel. As every year, visitors will be able to witness how the oil was made in the past and observe the operation of a traditional trull. All in a festive atmosphere, with traditional games, ball pagès and a craft show.
The program hosts other activities typical of the Forada festivities such as the celebration of traditional rice (November 17), the IX edition of the Festa Mamis & Papis (November 23) or the X edition of the Folkloric Mostra Arrels Vives (30 of November). Gastronomic traditions will also be present with the IV edition of the Allioli Festival (December 7), which this year will feature oil and native garlic from the island provided by the Consell d’Eivissa. In addition, the traditional Christmas biscuits and salsa contest will not be missed, which will put the end of the holidays on December 23.
The big day of the festivities is celebrated on December 8 from 12 noon with the celebration of the solemn mass followed by the ball pagès in charge of sa Colla de Buscastell. In the afternoon, the activities will continue in the tent with popular chocolate, the theatre representation of ‘Sa Vidriola’ by the Grup de Teatre de es Cubells, the Festes de Forada 2019 awards and live music.
As news, on Sunday, November 10 will take place the Motorcycle Route per Eivissa Europa FM, organized by the Pitiús Team Motoclub Eivissa. In addition, the program has other outstanding activities such as the Master Kids Buscastell, the Solidarity Day of December 6, the dry rock workshop taught by Vicent Palermet on December 13 and 14, or the walk through the Buscastell Broll on 15 from December.
