
Fira des Gerret 2020
At the end of winter, the town of Santa Eulària organizes the Fira des Gerret, a gastronomic day dedicated to gerret or caramel, a very common fish in the kitchen of the islanders and present in the local recipe book in delicious dishes such as rice with gerret and cabbage or the marinade of gerret. During the day indicated, the street of Sant Jaume and the Plaça Espanya has numerous stalls that represent about twenty participating restaurants that offer tasting dishes made with gerret, from classic preparations to other creative ones where flavours and techniques from international kitchens enter.
The day not only focuses on tastings, but it also includes children’s activities, live music and a marine and craft market.
