During Golden Week, many festivals are held in different Japanese cities. Each day is dedicated to a different party, and the celebrations vary specifically from the theme of each one: kites in the form of fish, exhibitions, typical dances…
On May 4, Green Day or Midori no Hi (み ど り の 日) is celebrated, dedicated to caring for and respecting the environment. This day was born from the love that Emperor Showa had for nature, flowers and plants.
On May 5, Children’s Day or Kodomo no Hi (子 供 の ひ) is celebrated, a party that pays tribute to the country’s young boys. It is celebrated by hanging kites in the form of tents in all the houses representing the members of the family.
On Wednesday, May 6 at 5pm there will be a live broadcast of the Butoh dance class ‘The Ikigai Dance’ Japanese dance Butô which this year turns 61.
The workshops, stories, dance are all through videos, it is not necessary to register. You can follow the programming for free on Facebook from Wabiza (Wabiza Scji).
