Visit the Broner House
The Broner House was built in 1960 as a residence and studio for the German-born architect and painter Erwin Broner (1898-1971).
It has been opened to the public in order to publicize the important legacy of Erwin Broner as architect and artist and to promote research, documentation, conservation and dissemination of modern and contemporary architecture, as well as rural architecture, landscape architecture and territory in Ibiza and the Balearic Islands.
Broner leaves an important legacy in Ibiza, not only as a painter and architect but as an actor in the island’s cultural life and a catalyst for citizen initiatives. He participates in the creation of the Ibiza 59 Group, which brings together artists, mostly foreigners, resident on the island, promotes the creation of the Ibiza Cinema Club, and is involved in the changes that were taking place in Ibiza in the 1960s with the development of tourism.
