CASA BRONER MUSEUM
Casa Broner is built by the architect and painter Erwin Broner in 1960.
The work of Broner is in different places in the city, especially in the port. This is his own house and it is preserved as he designed it. Occasional exhibitions of his artistic and architectural work are also held, as well as other contemporary creators.
Broner, of Jewish origin, was a student of Le Corbusier and had a prominent role in the development of rationalist architecture on the island, along with other creators such as Josep Lluís Sert and Germán Rodríguez Arias. He met Ibiza in the 30s of the twentieth century, during his exile from Hitler’s Germany. After several visits, in 1959 it was definitively established.
